Miss Jessica Cerro, 17 year old singer-songwriter from the Hills District of Sydney is a new musical force to be reckoned with. Together with Dirt Farmer, she opened for Tin Sparrow at The Standard on Friday, 26th October 2012 and brought the house down with a couple of covers from Feist and her own original compositions. Accompanied by guitarist, Cameron, Jessica wowed the crowd with her unique and amazing vocals. With her warm, soulful soaring vocals, she quickly gained the attention of everyone in the venue, many of whom had never heard of her before. A self-taught guitarist, Jess did not pick up her first guitar until year 7 at school, going on to writing her own songs almost immediately. Mum burst into tears when she heard her first demo and decided that her daughter needed to be heard. So, first stop, Triple J Unearthed. Jessica's now signed with Alberts. While we eagerly await her first album, her singles are now available on iTunes. This girls is crazy good and she will go places. And you heard it from me.
